Terms of Service
These are the rules for using TailorFolio. They're written to be read. By creating an account, uploading files or buying a package you agree to them.
1. What TailorFolio does
You upload your career documents. We extract a structured career record from them and, for a job description you supply, generate an application package: a tailored résumé, a cover letter and a match report, delivered as HTML, PDF and a ZIP. We also produce one default résumé package for free when you first upload.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 and using the service for your own job search (or, with their permission, someone else's). One person per account.
- Sign-in is by single-use link sent to your email or phone. Anyone with access to that inbox or phone can access your account — protect them.
- You're responsible for what's uploaded under your account. Upload only documents you have the right to use.
3. Your content and our output
- You own everything you upload and everything we generate for you. We claim no rights in your résumés, cover letters or career record beyond what's needed to run the service for you.
- Accuracy is your responsibility. We build only from your documents and run checks against invention, but language models make mistakes. Read every package before you send it to an employer. You, not we, are making the representations in it.
- We never use your content to train models or to market to anyone else. See the Privacy Policy.
4. Pricing, payment and credits
- Each tailored application package costs $5, charged to your card on file when you request it, or 1 credit if you have any.
- A pack of 25 credits costs $49. Credits never expire and are consumed before your card is charged. Credits have no cash value and aren't transferable.
- Up to three regenerations of a package (different style, a nudge) are included in its price.
- Card processing is by Square. Adding a card places a $0 verification hold only.
- Prices are in US dollars and may change; a change never affects packages already paid for or credits already bought.
5. Refunds
- If generation fails, you aren't charged: the $5 is refunded automatically or the credit is returned, and we tell you.
- If a package generates but you think it's unusable — wrong role, fabricated content, garbled output — email support@tailorfolio.com within 14 days with the package and we'll refund it or restore the credit. We're not going to argue with you about $5.
- Credit packs are refundable in full within 14 days if no credits from the pack have been used.
6. Acceptable use
Don't: upload documents that aren't yours to use; use the service to fabricate qualifications, credentials or employment history; try to access other people's data; scrape, overload or probe the service; use job-posting links to make us fetch arbitrary URLs; or resell packages as your own product without asking us. We rate-limit and may suspend accounts that do these things.
7. Email intake
Each account gets a private inbound address. Postings emailed to it are processed on the same terms and at the same price as ones you paste. Treat the address like a password — anyone who has it can spend your credits, up to the daily limit we enforce.
8. Availability and changes
We aim for the service to be available all the time and tell you promptly when it isn't. We may change features, and we'll give at least 30 days' notice before removing anything you've paid for or materially changing these terms. If we ever shut TailorFolio down we'll give 60 days' notice and keep Export my data working until the end.
9. Ending things
You can delete your account any time from Settings; it's recoverable for 7 days and then permanently erased. We can suspend or close accounts that break section 6, with a refund of unused credits unless the breach was fraud.
10. Disclaimers and liability
TailorFolio is provided as is. We don't promise you'll get an interview or a job, that output will be error-free, or that any particular employer's systems will parse it well. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything that can't be limited under applicable law.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. If we have a dispute, email us first — most things get sorted in a reply or two. Otherwise, courts located in Texas have jurisdiction, though if you're a consumer you keep any right to sue where you live.
